Badger Midget Auto Racing Association
MARA and the AFS Badger Midgets Weekend Times, Broadcasts, MRP Fantasy
With a very favorable weather forecast both nights, the stars of the Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series and Midget Auto Racing Association (MARA) are ready to take to the track Friday and Saturday.
It will be an exciting weekend with the two famed clubs clashing in a co-sanctioned event on Friday, May 9, at Kankakee County Speedway and a Badger point paying show at Sycamore the next night. With the clubs sharing a modern history and rule book, many MARA teams are poised to do the double with their northern counterparts.
Here are the start times as we know them thus far. As always, fans and teams might confirm this and gate pricing with the tracks involved:
Kankakee County Speedway:
Pits Gate Opens @ 4:00 pm
Pill Draw @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
Drivers Meeting @ 5:30 pm
Hot Laps / Qualifying @ 6:00 pm
Racing to follow.
Sycamore Speedway:
Pits Gate Opens @ 2:00 pm
Pill Draw @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Drivers Meeting @ 5:15 pm
Engine Heat @ 5:30 pm
Hot Laps / Qualifying @ 6:00 pm
Racing @ 7:30 pm

For Sycamore, the event will be live on FloRacing.
We have our first two winners in the 2025 Badger Midget Series Fantasy Racing Contest. Jason Dunn, last year’s overall champion and Derek Sabourin are the first two recipients of prizes this year with tickets to the races going to Dunn and tickets to the Wisconsin Automotive Museum for Sabourin.
