MARA Opener April 3 Postponed To Friday April 24 At Lincoln
(Thursday, April 2)
Lincoln Speedway has announced the postponement of their season opener set for tomorrow, Friday, April 3. Instead their season and Midget Auto Racing Association's campaign will open at the Illinois facility on Friday, April 24.
Recent rain causing wet grounds and more rain in the forecast were cited as reasons for cancelling in advance. MARA appreciates the track's position on this and the fact that they cancelled the day prior so teams and fans can make alternate plans for the Easter weekend.
Jace Sparks, Daltyn England and many more are expected to comprise the field when MARA starts the season April 24. Please follow Lincoln Speedway's pages for details on the new opening date.
