Sparks Maintains Point Lead in MARA. Lincoln up Next, July 18
Jace Sparks leads the Midget Auto Racing Association point standings by just 76 points over Mark McMahill as the club takes the weekend off. MARA was slated to be at Coles County Speedway this Saturday, July 12. It was announced early in the week that MARA's portion of that show was cancelled. Since then, Coles has postponed the entire event due to weather concerns, please see their pages for up to date information.
Now Sparks and McMahill will have to wait until July 18 at Lincoln Speedway and their Mid-Season Classic to resume the battle. Waiting in the wings are Tyler Roth, Dominic Bruns and Daltyn England who round out the top-five in the point race.
July 3, was the last event for MARA where it was Alex Midkiff over Sparks at Lincoln. Sparks is looking for his first 2025 win.
At that last race Mitchell Davis passed ten cars to earn a third-place finish and the High Performance Lubricants Hard Charger Award.
Bruns made the Horizon Develop Build Manage Invert Draw.
The Schoenfeld Headers Third-Heat and Hoosier Racing Tires B-Main were not run.
