Sparks Set for Double Header Including a Critical Co-Sanction Vs. Parker Jones
It’ll be the Jace Sparks and Parker Jones show on Saturday, July 19, at Sycamore Speedway in Illinois as the current leaders in the Midget Auto Racing Association (MARA) and AFS Badger Midget Auto Racing Association point standings prepare to meet.
It was recently announced that this Badger stand alone show would be co-sanctioned with the sister organizations joining forces for a critical border bash. Perhaps it will be Sparks who can stop the current Badger winning streak Jones has amassed. Jones has also won in MARA action this season.
According to the late Bryan Gapinski, longtime BMARA Media Director and midget racing historian, the current six race run Jones has, ties the six straight feature streak Badger Hall of Famer Landy Scott scored in 1947. Should Jones win it would put Jones as the all-time Badger record holder in consecutive wins.
Sparks is hungry for his first win in 2025 as he’s had solid runs within MARA but has yet to find Victory Lane in a feature. His weekend will start with a MARA show at Lincoln Speedway, also an Illinois speedplant, on Friday, July 18.
Both races are slated to stream on Badger TV.
