Jacksonville Speedway and MARA Off This Friday, May 22
Jacksonville Speedway officials have advised Midget Auto Racing Association officials that Jacksonville will not race this Friday, May 22. Hence, MARA will have the Memorial Day weekend off and will not race again until June 5 at Lincoln Speedway.
Please see Jacksonville's media outlets for the official explanation for the cancelation. They had to scramble to make a success of their World of Outlaws date and had to make some tough, but reasonable decisions. Thus, they will not race at all on May 22.
But race fans may still be able to get their fix as Jacksonville advised there are a few tickets remaining for the Thursday, May 21, WoO date. Please support this event if you are able and MARA will look forward to racing at Jacksonville on Friday, June 26.
