Different Winners in Every Race to Start the 2025 MARA Campaign
Parker Jones has a slim 17 point lead over Jace Sparks after the first weekend of action in the 2025 Midget Auto Racing Association (MARA) season. With races at Coles County Speedway and Lincoln Speedway respectively, no driver took first more than once in any of the club’s point-paying categories.
Rod End Supply Fast Time was set by Jace Sparks the first night while Charlie Kunz was quickest on night-two.
Heats are sponsored by Fusion Engineering, Horizon Carpentry Inc and Schoenfeld Headers. Over the two days of racing the following drivers took a heat: Greg Ross, Brian Peterson, Mark McMahill and Logan Manson.
Lincoln Speedway and AgVenture / Wehmeyer Seed sponsored the features won by Parker Jones and Alex Midkiff.
The High Performance Lubricants Hard Chargers were Daltyn England and Tyler Roth.
Horizon Develop Build Manage Invert Draws were one place things doubled up where Sparks and Kunz had the honors.
Lastly, while there were no Hoosier Racing Tires B-Mains, McMahill and Peterson had their names drawn among all MARA members who were racing and will each receive a free Hoosier tire thanks to famed racing tire purveyor.
NOTES:
Charlie Kunz didn’t race on night-one at Coles County Speedway. While he had two cars in the field, Kunz was back at the shop putting the finishing touches on a new car. He responded by scoring fast time the next night at Lincoln Speedway.
Alex Midkiff showed his talents on and off the track scoring the Lincoln win in a chassis he built himself.
After the nasty crash at Lincoln, where the team repaired the car and got it back on the track, Jones reported being stiff but otherwise alright the next day.
Next up, the stars and car of MARA will be back at Coles County Speedway on May 3.
The top-ten in points are as follows: Jones, Sparks, Midkiff, Peterson, McMahill, Roth, Dominic Bruns, Ross, England and Kunz.
